Compared to the harm threatened BlackBerry 10 blocked sales, Research in Motion (RIM) chose peace with Nokia through the signing of a patent license agreement.

The dispute between the two companies is in the range about technology nirkable internet connection using the network (wireless LAN) Nokia's devices and used throughout the RIM tablet, and potentially brings trouble for RIM's BlackBerry 10 device to be launched end of January 2013.

But the Chamber of Commerce arbitration court Stockholm, Sweden then gave the verdict that RIM had violated the contract.

RIM has taken the path of peace includes all fees paid and payment runs, everything from pocket RIM to Nokia.

The entire patent dispute in court involving both companies were halted. Lawsuits that have not been brought to trial in the United States, Britain, and Canada participated withdrawn.

"We are very satisfied that it has completed the patent licensing issues with RIM," wrote the head of the intellectual property rights of Nokia Paul Melin in a press statement.

"This agreement shows that Nokia has a leading patent portfolio in the industry and we can now focus our efforts on other licensing opportunities in the mobile communications market," said Melin.

These Terms treaty itself was not disclosed to the public, but it is estimated similar to a similar agreement signed by Nokia and Apple last year.

After this, Nokia is reportedly planning to push Viewsonic and HTC to pay for licenses.
