Still Mourning, India No Degree New Year Celebration

If some other country is busy preparing for the celebration of the new year, not the case with India. Still in mourning over the death of a student rape victim, both the authorities and the citizens of India decided to cancel all kinds of celebrations planned.
"The Indian army, whether army, air force and navy decided to cancel the whole plan greet the new year celebrations. They want to dedicate the last day of the year for victims of rape," said a senior Indian defense ministry told AFP on Monday (31 / 12/2012).
The official who declined to be named this said, the decision was made based on the cancellation of the celebration of its own initiative and without orders from superiors and ministry.

The 23-year-old student died on Friday (28/12) night, while being treated at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. The student reportedly suffered some severe injuries to internal organs leading to organ failure and his life could not be saved.
In the incident that occurred last December 16, a student was raped in turns by six men in a speeding bus on the streets of New Delhi, India. Not only was raped, the victim was also beaten with iron rods and then thrown out of the bus.
