Indonesian Citizens atomic bomb survivors Guide Awards

University of Hiroshima, Japan, on Thursday (27/12/2012), will give an honorary degree to the three former students from Southeast Asia who survived the atomic bomb that destroyed the city in 1945 years.

The award will be presented to former Prime Minister of Brunei, Pengiran Joseph (91), former Member of Parliament of Indonesia, Rahaya Hasan (91), and Japanese language teachers in Malaysia, Abdul Razak (87).

They are part of a group of students from the Japanese occupation in Southeast Asia during World War II. At that time Japanese design a program to print the youth of Southeast Asia in support of Japan.

According to the University of Hiroshima, these three can not be forced to continue their studies after being convicted of the atomic bomb that killed at least 140,000 people.

These three people, including nine students were exposed to atomic bomb radiation. Two of the nine students died instantly at the moment.

Authorities Hiroshima University is planning to send its officials to early next year to Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia to give the prize.

During World War II, some 200 students from Southeast Asia get a Japanese government scholarship to study in the country of the Rising Sun.
