Recognize the Signs of Menopause Early to Prevent Diabetes & Heart Disease Risk

A woman will usually stop menstruating at the age of 50 years, but some people may experience premature menopause at the age of about 40 years. Early menopause known to be associated with disease risk, so you need to identify what are the signs of early menopause.

1. Hot flashes

5. Chronic Fatigue
Fatigue is common in women who are past menopause transition. This condition can develop into chronic fatigue that will impact on everyday life, including the strain on the relationship with the husband, work productivity, and quality of life.

6. Hair loss
Hair follicles will experience hunger due to shortage of estrogen. This can lead to hair loss or hair thinning gradually or even suddenly. It may also be characterized by the gradual collapse of the pubic hair.

7. Disorientation and confusion
Menopausal women who may find it difficult to remember a thing, and difficulty concentrating. Several factors contribute to disorientation and confusion among others, sleep disturbances and mood swings.

8. Weight gain
Fat that accumulates around the stomach in older women is indicative of the menopause transition. This occurs because the metabolic rate slows down and leads to delayed processing of fat to accumulate in the abdomen and waist area.

If you have experienced these signs when aged less than 40 years, immediately check to the doctor to find out if you have early menopause. Then do the checks for diabetes and heart disease as soon as possible if the results show that you are experiencing early menopause.
