Flamengo Cancel Recruit Robinho

Kamis, 27 Desember 2012 ·

Flamengo says it has canceled its plans to recruit AC Milan striker, Robinho. Because the team nicknamed Rubro-Negro Milan rejected the asking price in order to woo the Brazilian.

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has reportedly flown to Rio de Janeiro to discuss the subject of the contract. However, Flamengo finally gave for rejecting the price of 6 million Euro (about USD 76 billion), which prompted the Rossoneri.

"Flamengo director, Wallim Vasconcellos and Flavio Godinho on Monday (24/12/2012) afternoon met with Adriano Galliani to recruit Robinho," the Flamengo official website.

"However, based on the amount of money demanded Milan, the club decided not to pursue this deal and get out (to recruit Robinho)," continued the statement.

Meanwhile, although Flamengo has given the statement, Galliani claimed a deal with Brazilian club was not over. "No act done kongret Flamengo, at least until January 2, 2013," said Galliani.

"Robinho wants to return to Brazil, but is agreed to Flamengo Milan asking price? I do not know. You should ask their leaders," he said.
